Phil Adams, longtime City of Wayland employee, dies

Phil Adams, longtime City of Wayland employee, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, at his home. He was 67 years old.

Born Oct. 6, 1955, to Byron and Glenna Adams, he was a huge part of the community working for the City of Wayland for more than 20 years. He was a jack of all trades and regularly helped people around the community with odd jobs.

Phil loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish with his brothers. He enjoyed traveling and hanging out on his porch with friends.

He is survived by his son, Ryan Adams; daughter, Kristin (Jason) Kwiatkowski; grandkids Tyler, Chase, Kaiden, Ryder, Gracie and Quinn; bonus children Paul (Jessica) Smith, Adam Smith, Dan (Sarah) Smith; bonus grandkids Rubi, Tobyn, Jeremiah, Abby, Ally, Canaan, and Cora; siblings Janice Statler, Steve Adams, Gary Adams, Sherry Pasternack, and Doug (Sherry) Adams; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Phil was preceded in death by his father; mother; lifelong partner, Clydene Northrup; sister, Lorraine Reeber; and brother, David Adams.

A time to visit with family and celebrate Phil’s life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Windsor Woods community hall.
