Monterey Veterinary Center and Picklestreet Veterinary Services is welcoming new Associate Veterinarian Dr. Maggie Pratt.
Pratt grew up in Houston, Texas, where she was heavily involved in her FFA chapter. She raised and showed Red Brangus and American Aberdeen cattle, as well as Boer goats. With her parents, Maggie started and managed their family cattle herd, focusing on genetics and meat quality.
She received her undergraduate degree in Animal and Dairy Science’s at Mississippi State University and her doctor of veterinary medicine degree at St. George’s University. She enjoys all things cattle, surgery, and has a special interest in perusing advanced reproduction methods such as embryo transfer and IVF.
In her free time Maggie likes to read, watch Mississippi State baseball, and try new restaurants. She is moving to Michigan with her husband, Shawn, and her dog, Lu Ann
Dr. Henry Reinart said, “Maggie will be joining our team the week of July 5th. With Maggie’s help we will be able to increase our surgical schedule, see more appointments, and once again be available for urgent care.”
