The City of Waylands’s first marijuana business Tuesday night won a recommendation from the Planning Commission for a drive-through option at its building at 201 Clark St., behind the Burger King restaurant.

Fawn River Cultivation Co. LLC/Prosper Cannabis applied for an amendment to site plan review yo make way for the drive-though option on the northwest corner of the building.

Jason Derry of Professional Code Inspections said, “This is a simple request… there’s not a lot of infrastructure change.”

The skeleton crew of the commission present voted 4-0 to recommend the request at the City Council’s June 19 meeting. Voting in the affirmative were Megan Mickelson, Gary Ragan, Mark Lyons and Ben Adams. Chairman JD Gonzales, Anne Tatreau and Andrew Shelest were absent.
