The Allegan County Pleasure Riders will have their 43rd annual benefit ride, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Silver Creek County Park, corner of 134th Avenue and 38th Street near Hamilton.
Participants will travel along the Allegan County Equestrian Trail System.
Donations are $25 minimum for individuals and $35 minimum per family. Proceeds will go to Wings of Hope Hospice, the Wings Home, FACETS (Friends of Allegan County Equestrian Trail System) and the Paula West Therapeutic Riding Scholarship Fund.
The ride will get under way at 10 a.m. and all rides must be completed on the trail by 4 p.m.
The grand prize will be two $250 gift cards. Other prizes include a gas grill and camp cupboard, a Zareba portable fence, yard swing gift bags and raffle prizes. There also will be an Easter egg hunt, horseshoe hunt and trash pickup games.
Lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips and drink will be served from noon to 2 p.m.
Registration will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the pavilion.
Last year the event attracted 230 riders who raised more than $18,000, donated to Wings of Hope Hospice and the Wings Home.
