June Palasek, age 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 21.

June was an avid crafter and card player. She loved her family and made sure to send cards to each member for every holiday, birthday and anniversary. June loved children and spent a lot of time with her great-great-nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerome “Jerry” Palasek; step-daughter, Jacelyn; her siblings David Wozniak Sr., Ted Wozniak, Gloria Snyder, Jeff (Donna) Budnick, and Susan (Allison) Budnick; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Wozniak and her mother, Gertrude (Jack) Budnick.

Per June’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In memory of June and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Van Andel Institute for breast cancer research.
