Richard DeHaan, age 82, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, July 7, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo after a short battle with an aggressive form of lymphoma.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1933, in Grand Rapids, the son of Richard Sr. and Hattie De Haan.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Rhonda (Phil) Kroll of Manistee, Ric (Kathy) De Haan of Hudsonville, and five grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister –in- law and brother- in- law, Eugene and Jan Morey, along with several nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Saralyn VanRhee.
