A much needed rainstorm visited northeastern Allegan County Wednesday afternoon and evening, easing drought conditions in the area. Some weather watchers reported that just shy of an inch of rain fell, but others insisted the total was about a half inch. Shown above is a photo of strawberry pickers at Beard’s Produce west of Dorr. A spokesperson from Beard’s suggested the supply of berries is beginning to wins down for the season.
