Raymond Silvis passed away Sunday, June 6, at the age of 70.

Ray served in the United States Marines from 1968 to 1972. He was a wonderful soul who loved to make people laugh. He humored the nurses and doctors of every hospital, doctors office, or clinic he entered. He was a great story teller, he loved to cook, listen to oldies music, write poetry, and sing karaoke, but most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his children Ray Jr. (Jamie) Silvis, Stephanie (Brian) Heavner and Nikki (Jake) Morton; as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Pam (Tyse) Achterhof, Kathy Miling, Nick Silvis (Judy Dochod), Sheri Silvis and David (Karen) Silvis.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Geraldine Silvis.

Please have any donations sent in memory of Raymond to the Semper Fi Fund. A Celebration of Ray’s Life will take place in the near future with date and time to be announced.
