Pamela Jane Post, former manager of the bakery at Dick’s Market in Dorr, died Saturday, Oct. 5. She was 72.

Born Nov. 10, 1951, “Janie” lived all her life in Byron Center and Dorr. She retired after many years managing the bakery at Dick’s Market and enjoyed reading, puzzles, and taking trips with her family. The most important things in her life were her five “grands” and she was incredibly proud of them. Sliding into a close second, however, were her beloved Miguel Cabrera and the Detroit Tigers.
Pamela (Janie) is survived by her daughters, Rachelle Taylor and Kelli (Michael) Schumacher, grandchildren Chelsey Taylor, Michael, Emilee, Leah, and Jolee Schumacher, brother Jim (Teresa) Bignall, sister-in-law Linda Bignall, son-in-law Larry Medina, bestie Renay Smith, sister-in-law Jackie Taylor and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Muriel Bignall, daughter Sheri Medina, siblings Gayle Fish, Rebecca Bignall, Ron Bignall and in-laws, Bill and Lillian Taylor.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held for
family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Dorr.
