A ribbon cutting took place Saturday afternoon at the new Fifelski Towing & Recovery business on the south side of 142nd Avenue to the immediate east of the Dorr Bible Church.
The Dorr Marathon gas station, owned and operated by the Fifelski family for the last 55 years, was sold to Merle Boes Fuel Hauling. The station at the corner of 142nd Avenue and 18th Street in downtown Dorr, was owned by former Dorr Township Fire Chief William Fifelski since 1969. After he died, Jeff and Bill Fifelski Jr. took over operations and continued the towing and recovery business as well. Caleb Fifelski continued to be involved in towing and recovery services and last August announced the new building would be erected.
