The Wayland Fire department held an Appreciation Dinner Saturday evening at New Life Church. Roger Merren, a 1967 graduate of Wayland High School, was awarded a Meritorious Service Award for more than 50 years of service. With Merren (center) is Chief Jon Timmer and his wife, Mary Jane Merren.
