A semi jacknifed on the northbound lane of the U.S.-131 expressway Thursday morning just north of the Gun Lake Casino exit (No. 61). Traffic was being directed off the highway. The persistent cold and winter stormy weather continued all week. None of the three public school districts were open Monday through Thursday.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department early this afternoon reported that both lanes of the expressway were open, but, “The wind blowing is creating very icy conditions along this stretch of US-131 highway.”
