Gregory Stevens of Wayland died Wednesday, July 22 at the age of 43.
A loving son, husband and father of four children, he was born Nov. 4, 1976, in Spokane, Wash. He lived most of his life in West Michigan, where four seasons of outdoor adventures were at his doorsteps. Friends and family will confirm that he preferred “deer season,” bow hunting being his greatest passion. Greg enjoyed fishing and generally being outdoors.
He was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a stubborn person with a steadfast devotion of love and commitment to his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Anja Stevens, and his four children Kasey Hawkins (Spouse Nicholas Hawkins), Kelsey Stevens, Kole Woodhead and Kayden Land. He is also survived by his mother, Cynthia Stevens, and his mother-in-law, Kristi Voshell, his grandmother, Mari Molag, along with his brothers, William Stevens and Gerald Scott Stevens, and by friends and family, especially his cousin, Doug Scott.
Gregory was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Molag, and brother-in-law, Dennis Momenee.
A celebration of a life will be held at Historic Bowens Mills (55 N Briggs Rd, Middleville, MI 49333) at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug.16.
