Kenneth Nederveld, age 76, of Dorr, died Friday, Jan. 15.

Ken worked for OAK Construction for many years. You could always find him drinking coffee at Bunker Hill. He enjoyed hunting, restoring antiques, crossword puzzles, gardening, and spending time with his pup, Vern.

He is survived by his children, Joy and Randy DeJong, Tammy Nederveld Syswerda, Anne Nederveld Nunez; grandchildren, Hailey and Joel Altena, Tess DeJong, Ridge DeJong, Easton DeJong, Mandy and Craig Carpenter, Krissy Nunez; sister, Ruth and Mitch Newenhouse; sister-in-law, Mary Nederveld; mother of his children, Judy Mitchell; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jennie Nederveld; brother, Ron Nederveld; son-in-law, Tony Nunez.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date.
