Audrey
June Whipple age 83, of Wayland, died Sunday, Oct. 15.
She was born June 9, 1933, in Graafschap, MI. Audrey attended Holland High School, Lake Michigan College and Grand Valley State University. She taught for many years in the Thornapple-Kellogg School district until her retirement in 2001.
Audrey is survived by her children, David (Vickie) Whipple, Michael Whipple, Diane (Michael) Knight, Debra (Mark) Freeman, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris Van Tubergen, her brothers Roger (Eleanor) Nyland and Earl (Dorothy) Nyland and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jeanette Nyland, a brother, and her daughter Tammy.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Cornerstone Church, 1675 84th St. SE Caledonia with Rev. Andrew Jackson officiating. A time to visit with Audrey’s family will be held following the service.
