Marshall A. Moore, age 65, died in the comfort of his home in Dorr Sunday, Dec. 24.
Marshall served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He always appreciated when someone thanked him for his service, often wearing his Navy hat. He worked as a machinist in many Tool & Die shops around Grand Rapids. Throughout his life he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 47 years, Harriet Moore (Zamojski); his children, Sheila (Jamie) Roblyer, Robert (Alicia) Moore; his grandchildren, Kylie “BabyGirl” Moore, Kaleb Moore, Kolten Moore, Peyton “#1” Moore, Levi Moore; his mother, Marjorie Moore; his siblings, Melanie Walters, Ann Fisher, Nadine Moore, Mark Moore; his mother-in-law, Helen Zamojski; Harriet’s siblings, Elizabeth (Marion) Trocki, Nina (David) Milanowski, John Zamojski, Irene (Henry) Dzirbowicz; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall R. Moore.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, with military honors performed at 4 p.m. by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. The visitation will be followed by a funeral at 6 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th St.
