Dorothy Marie Donovan Peake of Kentwood, a former resident of Wayland, died May 24. She was 78.

Born April 7, 1939, in Kalamazoo, Dorothy has eight grown children, several of whom graduated from Wayland High School, including Tyrone, Todd and Lance Brewer. While living north of the city on Division Avenue, she served as an aide in the Wayland Union school system.

She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at Oakdale Park Christian Reform Church 961 Temple St. S.E.Grand Rapids.
