Mrs. Linda Simmons, age 66 of Martin, formerly of Grand Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 17, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Dave Simmons, children Todd (Brianna) Barcheski, Angie Simmons (Michael), Kristy (Shawn) McCutcheon, grandchildren Chelsea, Bob, Kaiya, Cameron, Skylar (Due in May), brothers Marc MacMillen and Kelly (Patricia) MacMillen, sister-in-law Jeannette (Tim) Bloedorn, special nephew and niece Brian and Wendy.

Linda was born in Grand Rapids and attended Creston High School, Class of 1968. Immediately following high school she started a 36-year career at Roadway Express. After retiring at 55, she worked part time at Harding’s Market in Wayland.

Her favorite pastimes were crafting, spoiling her grandchildren, trips to Las Vegas and Elvis.

Visitation will be held at Arsulowicz Brothers East Chapel, 937 Michigan St. NE from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.

Linda would appreciate any memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
