Raymond Arndt, age 88, died Saturday, Dec. 7.

Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood crafts, which he made for the church.  He worked at General Motors for 37 years.

He is survived by his sons Terry, Ken (Tracy), Mike, and Dennis (Chris); grandchildren Becky (Don) Hibma, Michelle Roberts, Alan (Maddie Williams) Arndt, and Matthew (Nicole) Arndt; great-grandchildren Faith and Jacob Hibma, and Devin Roberts; brother-in-law, Dan (Maddie) Wolf; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Arndt; parents John and Emma Arndt; grandsons Bryan Arndt and Kenny Arndt; and siblings Meta (Ernest) Kraft, Gerhardt (Gladys) Arndt, Carl (May) Arndt and Walter (Carol) Arndt.

Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St., Dorr. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In memory of Raymond and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kenny Arndt’s Scholarship Fund through Hopkins High school or Wings of Hope Hospice.
