Service July 21 in Watson for Deloris Culver

Deloris E. Culver of Otsego died Thursday, July 10. She was 94.

Born on June 4, 1931, in Bloomfield, Mo.,she was the daughter of Lowell and Ruth (O’Connor) Tiller.

Deloris led a life filled with purpose and passion, having owned and operated a family farm alongside her husband, Bruce Culver. They were married June 15, 1951, and celebrated 74 years together.

Deloris was a woman of many interests and talents. She loved taking care of her family, pouring her heart into cooking and baking. Her adventurous spirit shone through in her extensive travels across numerous foreign countries, experiences that enriched her life and broadened her horizons.

She and Bruce spent winters enjoying the warmth of Anna Maria Island for many years. Deloris also enjoyed the comforting crafts of knitting and crocheting, often repairing clothes with a skillful touch. Her appreciation for antiques led her to collect salt and pepper shakers, teacups and silhouettes.

A woman of strong faith, Deloris was an active member of the Watson Bible Church.

Surviving besides her husband, Bruce, are three children: Bruce Culver Jr., Charles Culver, and LeAnn (Ron) Keyzer; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, along with her siblings, Theresa VandenBerg and Leo Tiller, several nieces and nephews and her daughter-in-law, Terri Culver.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Russell.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, at Watson Bible Church with Pastor Tim Morris officiating. Private family burial of ashes will take place at East Martin Cemetery.
