Shirley A. Shue, age 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 22.
She was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Lima, Ohio the daughter of McCurdy and Thelma (Patrick) Hall. Shirley was a lifetime member of the Wayland Free Methodist Church and volunteered her time teaching Sunday school for many years.
Shirley is survived by her children Ken (Ann) Shue, Tammy (Jim) Sipkema, JoLynn (Glenn) Woodrum, Kim Shue, Carrie (Travis) Peet, Kandi (Nathan) Jenne; her grandchildren Jimmy (Chrissy) Sipkema, Josh (Morgan) Shue, Samantha Shue, Bobbie Jo Shue, Joey Draper, Justin Draper, Chris Draper, Travy Peet, Jordan Peet, Tyler Woodrum and Sadie Jenne; her great-grandchildren Alexis, Kylee, Ryan Sipkema, Kenny, Lenny and Colton Shue; six sisters; six sisters-in-law; special aunt Ruth Patrick along with many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith; son Chris; her parents; three brothers; three sisters and one grandson Ryan.
Funeral services to honor Shirley will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Wayland Free Methodist Church 502 West Superior St. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Shirley’s friends will meet with friends and relatives from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland Chapel 312 N. Main St., and one hour prior to services Monday at the church
To honor Shirley, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Wayland Free Methodist Church.
