Service planned in Hopkins Monday for Angela Guritz

Angela Kay Guritz, 45 of Hamilton, died Thursday, Jan. 28,.
Born March 27, 1975, in Allegan, she was the daughter of Donald Guritz and the late Guadalupe (Chapa) Guritz. After graduating from high school, Angela went on to become a dental assistant and then chose to work at UniPak.
She loved her dog, Lilly, but as she grew older, she became more of a cat person. Her spare time was spent enjoying nature. She loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, mushrooming – anything outdoors was always a great way to spend her time.
Angela also took pleasure in shopping and going to garage sales. Her favorite and most treasured time though was spent with her daughter enjoying sports activities. She loved being a mom and cherished her family.
Angela is survived by her father, Donald Guritz; her daughter, Makenzi Selby; her partner of more than 20 years, Scott Selby; Scott’s son, Seth Selby; her brother, Doug Guritz; Scott’s brother, Ron Selby; her nieces and nephews, Austin Goodrich, Melissa Guritz, Faith Guritz, Michael Guritz and Allison Guritz; and Scott’s nieces, Tonya Selby and Jessie Kerber.
Besides her mother, Luptia, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Guritz.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2021 at the Hopkins Community Church (2142 128th Ave.) The service will begin at 3 p.m.,with Pastor Jonathon VanderWall officiating.
