Rose Marie Hinmon, age 42, died at her home in Allegan on Tuesday, June 4.
Rose had a cheerful and happy personality.She enjoyed being with her kids and watching them grow and learn new things. Rose enjoyed the outdoors and spending time near the water, specifically Lake Michigan. She also enjoyed shopping and her trips to Shipshewana.
Rose was very proud of her Native culture, having descended from Ottawa, Chippewa and Pottawatomi. She was also a proud member of the Gun Lake Tribe.
Rose is survived by her children Alexander Robert Hinmon, Emma Ann Hinmon, Cheyenne Marie Hinmon, Denali Ava Hinmon-Freeman, and Terence Leland Hinmon-Freeman; mother, Laurie Ann Brand; and many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Hinmon; stepfather, Raymond Brand; siblings Diane Peltier, David Hinmon; and aunt, Sharon Rose Near.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St.. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Luella Collins Community Center, 419 126th Ave., Shelbyville, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
In memory of Rose and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her children.
