Wayne Belka Sr., age 77, died Monday, Jan. 25.

Wayne was well connected in the Wayland community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Therese Usher’s Club. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting and fishing. Wayne served at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy Belka; children Wayne Jr. (Kim) Belka (Mitchell, Ryleigh, Morgan), Theresa (Derrick) Dixon (Keegan Findley, Maddox, Darian), Bruce (Lisa) Belka (Jacob Thiem); siblings Dennis Belka, Allen Belka, Judie (Don) Chappell, Dawn (Dennis) Flannery; many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Belka and parents Birney and Arlene Belka.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Kubiak Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, with a Rosary beginning at 7:30. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 128 Cedar St., Wayland.

A livestream of Wayne’s service will be available on St. Therese Catholic Church’s website and Facebook page when the service begins. Father Chuck Fischer will be officiating.

In honor of Wayne and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice and St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.
