Jacquelyn Kae (Rector) Godley died Wenesday, June 4, at the age of 58.
Jackie was born May 30, 1967 in Grand Rapids to her late parents Glenn Rector and Sandra Czeher (Noor).
Jackie was a loving mother to her children Trevor (Cassandra) Godley, Allexus (Casey) Werner, and Taylor Godley; and a proud grandmother to Lyric, Carter, Oaklynn, Crew, Zayla, Bentley, and Beckett. She is also survived by the father of her children Gary Godley; stepparents Darla Rector and Bela Czeher; sisters Julie (Matt) Johnson, Jodi (Brian) Rector-Brooks; and stepsiblings Kelli (Bryan) Hull and Todd Denforth.
Jackie devoted her life to caring for others both at home and in her career. She graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with her associates of nursing degree and Western University with her bachelor of science in nursing. She served as a registered nurse for over 29 years.
She had worked at the bedside as an oncology nurse at Spectrum Health, research nurse at The Cancer and Hematology Centers, and most recently a home hospice nurse at Corewell Health. Over the years, she has been a light to her patients and their families during their darkest moments.
Her hands brought healing and her heart brought hope to all who knew her. Her strength, warmth, and wisdom touched all. Her love for her dogs, late Max and Maggie, Mr. T, and Scooby, brought her so much comfort and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you makes a donation to Hands of Hope Foundation (the foundation for Cancer and Hematology Centers).
A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to service.
