Karon Elizabeth (Clegg) Knobloch, age 72, of Knobloch’s Corners died Monday, Feb. 4.

She was born to the late Eugene and Imogean Clegg on May 8, 1946, in Allegan. Karon was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hopkins. She worked as a bookkeeper at Hopkins Livestock Auction Yard, owned Hopkins Station pizza place and convenience store and assisted customers at Consumers Energy.

Karon served on the Monterey Township Board. She enjoyed painting and gardening.

Karon is survived by her three children, Sarah Lacy, Adam and Julie Knobloch and Aaron and Debbie Knobloch; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She opened her heart and home to her nephew Glenn (Amanda) Winters and niece Amanda Weber and their four children. She is also survived by her siblings, Bonnie (Fred) Strand, Sandy Rankin, James (Fred) Clegg and Charlie Clegg and her sister-in-law Marg (Norm) Gras.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Peter Levi Knobloch.

Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, and from 10:30  to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where the funeral will be held at noon. Interment will be at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
