Service set for Gun Lake woman Loretta Ausberger, 88

Mrs. Loretta C. Ausberger (Pelletier) age 88 of Gun Lake, formerly of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, June 4.

She retired from General Motors and spent her summers enjoying Gun Lake and winters in sunny Fort Myers Beach, FL. Her spirit was feisty and energetic. She loved her many friends and neighbors, always wanting to jump in and help with their projects. Loretta was well-known for riding her bicycle, playing pickleball and collecting pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House.

Loretta is survived by her sons, Steven (Beverly) Ausberger and James (Jacqueline Hardy) Ausberger; three grandchildren, Brenda and Brian Ausberger and Alexandra Hardy; brothers-in-law, Stanley Smit, Charles (Sue) Ausberger and William Ausberger as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

The family will receive visitors Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. at the Arsulowicz Brothers East Chapel, 937 Michigan St NE, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Church, 628 Diamond Ave NE, where she will repose one hour prior to Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan will be appreciated.
