Henry John Blacquiere III, age 73, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Feb. 9.

Henry owned Blacquiere Masonry Co. for 40 years. He loved being with his family, motorcycling, boating, having coffee with his friends, traveling to Florida for the winter, and going to the Waffle House with his grandkids.

Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Gloria; children, Maaike (Joseph) Dombrowski, Marcie (Scott) Masselink; grandchildren, Katherine, Calvin Dombrowski, Westyn, Aidyn, Oaklyn Masselink; brother, Bill (Carol) Blacquiere; sister, Mary (Bryan) Prins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Blacquiere, Gregory (Deb) Geukes, Gary Geukes; many nieces and nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Catherine Blacquiere; his brother, Robert Blacquiere, and infant son, Johnathon Blacquiere.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Stroo Funeral Home, and on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Gun Lake Community Church, 12200 W M 179 Hwy, Wayland, where the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Beyer officiating.
