Wilma Lillian (Curtis) Perring, 95, of Watson Township, died Monday, Oct. 10, at Ascension Borgess Hospital.
Born Dec. 18, 1926 in Paw Paw, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Katherine (Cramer) Curtis and was the wife of the late Howard Perring.
Mrs. Perring loved her church, Watson Country Chapel, and was very actively involved including serving as clerk for several years. She was an accomplished poet and had put together two books of her work but elected not to have either published.
Mrs. Perring enjoyed going on shopping trips and especially liked her outings to Walmart, garage sales and to the outlet mall. She loved to travel when she could and looked forward to her winters in California and summers in Michigan.
Mrs. Perring is survived by her children, Kay Wing, Daniel Kirby (Loretta) and Judy Stuart; and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Paul Wing and Lyle Stuart; siblings, Frances Hoard and Martin Curtis; two granddaughters, Laura and Melissa; and one great-great-grandson, Lyric.
The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. and interment will follow in Miner Cemetery.
