Robert L. Jones, age 65, of Burnips, died Friday, April 6, at Mercy Health, St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Bob loved his family and spending time with them and his dog, Oliver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being at Sugar Island with friends and family. Through the years he appreciated everyone he worked with and they enjoyed his dry sense of humor and quick wit.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joy; children, Heather (Todd) Shupe, Gary (Kelli) Klingenberg, James (Sarah) Klingenberg; grandchildren, Cameron Klingenberg, Ethan Klingenberg, Tyler Klingenberg, Jackson Shupe; brother, Ronald (Pam) Jones; sister-in-law, Judy (Dale) Yntema; brother-in-law, James (Joan) Moored; sister-in-law, Joanie (Gary) VanDam, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Jones; and his step-father, Bud Warren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland, with Rev. Craig VanBeek officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s honor to Burnips United Methodist Church or Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.
