Robert Alan Long, 28, died Friday, Sept.21, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born on March 31, 1990 in Grand Rapids to Robert and Patricia (Fitzgerald) Long. He graduated from East Kentwood High School and went on to work for JBS of Plainwell. He was the most kind-hearted person. He would never hesitate to help someone in need. He liked to make people laugh, sometimes at the expense of himself.

Robert is survived by his parents, his sister, Robin Long, and many other family and friends.His grandparents, John and Jacqueline Fitzgerald, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 28, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St., Cutlerville, where the service will begin at noon.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
