Service will be Monday for former local man Dick Hayward, 84

Richard “Dick” Hayward, age 84, of Holland, died Friday, Dec. 11.
Dick served in the U.S. Marines. He worked at the Kalamazoo Paper Mill/Georgia Pacific for 44 years, retiring in 1992. Dick and Patricia attended Dorr Baptist Church and formerly attended First Baptist Church of Wayland
Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Hayward; his sons: Rick (Patricia) Hayward, Bruce (Janet) Hayward, Glenn (Loretta) Hayward, and Craig (Mary) Hayward; his 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his sisters Joyce Spears, Nancy (John) Jacobs, and Shirley (Ron) VanNess; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Hayward, his sisters Doris Wycoff and Dorothy Jukes, and his brothers Carl and Russell Hayward; and daughter-in-law Victoria Hayward.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Wayland, with an hour of visitation prior to service time. Pastor Richard Helderop will be officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
