Ellen Rose Parlmer died Sunday, Aug. 22., in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. She was 94.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1927,
Ellen was the first president of the Dorr Lioness Club. She was also involved with her church as a pianist.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 48 years, George Parlmer; son, Anthony (Mary) Salski; stepchildren Mike Parlmer, Thomas (Chris) Parlmer, Greg (Robin) Parlmer, Bryan (Robin) Parlmer, Anita (Ernest) Lahti; brother, William (Barb) Smith; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Ruby Smith; son, John Salski; and brothers Raymond “Bish” Smith and Bernard Smith.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Kubiak-Cook, Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior the service. Ellen will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery
