Diana Marie Puschel, 81, of Hopkins, died Sunday, June 18, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Born Nov. 13, 1941, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Lorraine Wilkinson-Clay and was the wife of Paul Edward Puschel.  Diana was a longtime member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr.  She began attending in 1994 and had been an active participant in the congregation ever since, including quilting and singing in the choir. Diana devoted much of her time helping others within her church family. 

Whenever the weather permitted, she loved being out near the water. Diana also enjoyed going bowling, golfing and reading. Above all else, she loved her family.

Besides Paul, her husband of 22 years, Diana is survived by her children, Dale (Laurie) Witczak, Judy (David) DeStefano and Sandy (Randy) Yob; grandchildren, Brett (Jodi), Taylor (Jessi), Samantha (Blake), Alexandra, Jordan, Madison, Mackenzie, Felicia, Erik, Trevor, Amanda, Melissa, Courtney, Tim and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Elle, Milly and Theodore; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 Years, Wally Witczak; mother, Lorraine; son, Mark Witczak; and sister, Rosemary Wilkinson.

The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, 208 W Main St. from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 4219 Park Lane, Dorr. A funeral will begin at 11 at the church. A luncheon will follow for family and friends to gather and celebrate Diana with sharing stories of their memories.

A graveside committal service will follow the luncheon at Maplewood Cemetery, 1643 130th Ave, Hopkins.
