Linda Lou Smith (Cline) died Wednesday, Aug. 28.

She was born on July 29, 1943, to James and Florence Cline in Grand Haven, and moved to Hopkins.

She spent the rest of her childhood on a dairy farm with her three brothers.  She married Ron Smith  on June 24, 1961, Together, they had two children, Randy and Angela. As time went on, they added a granddaughter Lisa and, earlier this year, a great-grandson, Hunter.

Linda loved getting out on the boat and spending the day on the lake with family and friends. In the fall, she could always be found cheering on her Detroit Lions or watching a NASCAR race. She loved a good bargain and spent many days stopping at garage sales and shopping at second-hand stores.

Linda is survived by husband Ron, son Randy (Lori), daughter Angela, granddaughter Lisa Witte (Ryan), and great-grandson, Hunter James Witte. She is also survived by her brothers Jim (Judy) Cline, Jerry (Dolores) Cline, and Jay Cline and many friends, in-laws, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 at the Dorr Chapel of Kubiak-Cook, 4330 – 18th St., Dorr, Michigan with visitation one hour prior to service.
