Gwendolyn (Northouse, Visser) Emery died Feb. 19.
She is survived by family MarySue (Jerry) Werkema, Barbara Ann Visser and Tami Cullinford, Brenda Lea (David) Kornoely. Step children Rick (Carolyn) Emery, Mary Ann (Tim) Doyle, Kathy (Wally) Kolehouse, Karen Ostaszewski and Jane Bockheim. Also, a very special friend Susie Balfoart, 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by my son David E. Visser and husband Dwight P. Emery.

Her message was, “”I didn’t struggle or battle the cancer you see, Jesus did that on the cross for me. He walked beside me day by day giving me strength to face each new challenge. It has been a blessing knowing the Lord was with me and that he loves me and never left my side. If you don’t know him as your savior, seek him while he may be found. Call upon him while he is near. Until then God be with you till we meet again.”

Her family would like to give special thanks to Faith Hospice for the care and support they gave. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Faith Hospice of Holland Home.

Cremation will take place and memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Dorr Baptist Church, 1504 142nd ave Dorr.
