Albert Daniel “Dan” Genther, age 72, died Monday, April 4.

Dan enjoyed everything outdoors. He loved hunting, spending time at the family cabin with family and friends, but his faith was especially important to him. He enjoyed going for rides on his Harley, boating on Lake Michigan, and relaxing at his log home.

He served his community for more than 17 years as a part of the Dorr Fire Department and later retiring as a lieutenant.

He is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Michael) Schuette, Tarah Genther; partner Amy Genther; grandchildren Anna, Eric, Izak; and many extended relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Edna Genther and his siblings.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 8, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St., Dorr. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior.

In memory of Dan and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spirit of Life Church or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
