Susan Bailey, age 75, died Saturday, Dec. 13.
Sue was born to John and Betty Wickering in 1950 and grew up in East Grand Rapids. She spent her weekends at the family house on Barlow Lake, where she her husband, Al, at The Note in 1967. Al and Sue were married in 1968 and moved from Grand Rapids to Dorr in 1976.
They made a home and raised a family. Sue loved her family more than anything, but did save room for her pets and every friend the kids brought home. Her family and everyone she met would tell you she was the kindest, most honest and loving person.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Kubiak-Cook – Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Susan, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
