Susanna “Susan” Kaminski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated health care professional, died Dec. 28, at her residence in Clio, Mich.

Susan was born in Alma,to the late Thomas and Anne (McMullen) Jackson. She spent her life embodying kindness, compassion, and service to others.

Susan graduated from Clio High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree from C.S. Mott Community College. She began her career in health care as a medical assistant, working for Genesys Health Systems, helping 26 physicians in just one year as an on-call medical assistant.

Susan married Dennis Kaminski on Sept. 28, 2004, in Las Vegas. Together, they created a warm and loving home in Dorr, where family was always at the heart of their lives.

A member of Wesley Park United Methodist Church in Wyoming, Susan actively participated in the congregation’s care and prayer group. Her spirit of service extended beyond the walls of the church, as she volunteered her time for the YWCA in Flint, where she supported victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and at Grace Hospice in Grand Rapids.

Susanna also had a lifelong passion for music, dedicating 28 years to teaching piano. Her gifts as a musician and psychic and palm reader, highlighting her ability to connect with others on a deeper level.

Surviving are husband, Dennis Kaminski; children: Kevin (Pam) Zaborney, Michelle (Gary) Scigliano, Allison (Andy, iljames, and Ryan Kaminski; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Ava, Addison, Julian, Chad, and Todd; She was blessed with eight great grandchildren; stepbrother, Douglas (Rita) Collins; several nieces and nephews; Cousin, Vicky Yoder; friends, Adrianna, Dean, Mary, and Marilyn and her kitty TJ.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne M. Jackson in 1949; Father, Rev. Thomas Jackson in 1993; Stepmother, Rhea Jackson in 2002; Stepbrother, Harvey Collins in 2002, and sister, Betty Purdy in 2005 and first husband Donald Zaborney in 2017.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Gregory Kendrick Jr. will officiate, Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home from 2 to 7 p.m.and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Park United Methodist Church.
