Mya Griffin died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 14, at her home in Shelby. She was only eight months old.

She was born Dece. 13, 2018 in Ludington, the daughter of Noah Griffin and Rebeca Bailey. Mya was a happy baby girl who was most often seen with a smile on her face that could light up a room. Though her time here was much too short she brought endless joy to those who loved her.

She is survived by her parents; grandparents, Brandon and Hannah Bailey of Martin, Julie and Scott Kendall of South Carolina and Eric Herring of Shelby; uncle, Zach Bailey; great-grandparents and a great-great-grandmother.

Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19,  at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services will be held at 3 p.m., with celebrant Bill Rose officiating.

Contributions in memory of Mya may be made to her parents to assist with expenses.
