Services planned Friday for Tom ‘Rabbit’ Rybiski, 73

photo_20160419_WM0065657_0_20160419Thomas S. “Rabbit” Rybiski, age 73 of Middleville, died Monday, April 18.

Tom was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Wayland VFW and the American Legion. He retired as a salesman from Good GMC. Golf was one of his greatest passions. Tom and LaDonna enjoyed wintering in Rotonda West, Fla., where he was able to golf every day.

Tom is survived by his wife LaDonna; his children: Tom Rybiski and Aimee Austin, Marcia (Bob) Medendorp, and Tim (Kristin McNally) Rybiski; his grandchildren: Chelsea Rybiski, Megan Medendorp, Ryan Medendorp; his brothers Joe (Marie) Rybiski and John (Jan) Rybiski; and several nieces and nephews and his many golf buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary (Hileski) Rybiski.

Friends may visit with Tom’s family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland, where a Rosary will be said at 2 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Father Christian Johnston presiding. Interment will follow at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Cemetery with military honors.

Donations in memory of Tom may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or SS Cyril & Methodius Building Fund.

    We didn’t know him well but he was a good man. Rest in peace Tom. It’s all birdies now.
