Elizabeth (Liz) Vander Linden, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend died Wednesday, Oct 22. She was 94.
Liz enjoyed Bible study at Gun Lake Community Church. She was a choir member there for years. She did extensive cross-stitch projects, was an avid gardener, and played piano. Liz enjoyed the water and entertaining her Dutch friends on the boat. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Josephus (George) L.; sister and brother-in-law, Abigael and Tymon VanKempen; and great-grandson, Beckett Vander Linden.
She is survived by children Margaret (Mark) Hall and Josephus (Gloria) Vander Linden Jr.; grandchildren Jennie (Jason) Hullinger, Jos (Ginger) Hall, J.J. Vander Linden, Ronald (Krynn) Vander Linden; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Jayden, Jacee Hullinger, Elisha and Phoebe Hall, Everly and Briar Vander Linden; nephews Adrian VanKempen, Case (Leigh) VanKempen, Ty (Deb) VanKempen, and great-nieces and -nephews here and abroad.
Visitation with friends and family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main St., Wayland. Services will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
