Service set Thursday for Karen Henry of Wayland

Karen Sue Henry, age 81, of Wayland, died from the results of dementia Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Karen was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord and believed in prayer.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gordon Henry; son, Chip Henry; grandson, Charles (Katie) Henry Jr.; great-grandson, Charles Henry III.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Elsie Anthony; daughter, Rhonda Marie Denney, and brother, Harold Anthony.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
