Louise Doxey, age 91, of Wayland, died Monday, April 2.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, LeRoy Doxey; children, Pamela (Phillip) Brock, Allen (Xiaolan) Doxey, Nancy Doxey, Catherine (Joseph) Morris; grandchildren, Shawn DeBruhl, Travis (Sara) Menzel, Genie, Josh and Jeremy Morris; great-grandchildren, Kelsie and Zachary DeBruhl, Alexis, Addalyn and Austynn Anne Menzel; siblings, Louis “Snuffy” Schmidt, Pat Dean; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley Schmidt, Johnny Schmidt, Ed Schmidt, Al Schmidt, Ronnie Schmidt; sisters, Leona Myers, Adeline Striegle, Sylvia Burns, Mary VanEe.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services Wayland Chapel 312 N. Main St. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services Wayland Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

In honor of Louise and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or Operation Smile.
