Rebecca Sue Cornelia (Dykstra), age 57 of Hopkins, died Sunday, June 16, surrounded by her family.

Rebecca was a 1985 graduate of Wayland Union High School, where she passionately shined in volleyball. Her work career consisted of many years in various quality control positions.

Her favorite things in life were days at the lake, being the best MeMe, and spending time with her granddaughters, watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions play, and putting her special touches around her home through gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children Roxanne Brinks, Daniel Brinks, Kristen (Joel) Rampanelli, and Emily (Brandon) Marklevitz; stepdaughter, Kelly LeAnne; granddaughters Kaylin, Aubree, Claire, Leah, and Maeve; mother, Janice (David) Salisbury; brother, Barry Lawrence Dykstra; and sisters-in-law Sara (David) Dykstra, Priscilla (Todd) Dykstra, Ginger Schoonbeck, and Debbie Carlon; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Jay Dykstra; brothers David Mark Dykstra and Todd Alan Dykstra; nephew Thomas Jay.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday June 21 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the funeral home, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
