The dilapidated house and property next to the entrance of the Calkins Field entrance on Division, just north of the Rock ‘N Bowl establishment on the east side of the road finally has been razed and cleaned up., as of today

Scott Griffin was alone in the house when a fire occurred Dec. 5, 2021, and he perished.

It was reported on the Leighton Fire Dept. Facebook page that a woman named Samantha Piotrowski Griffin, with Hopkins connections, posted to firefighters: “Thank you so much for all of your hard work. This was my ex-husband and the father of my two kids. I hope he has finally found the peace that had been lost for him for so many years.”
