Thunderstorms that interrupted a Tuesday morning in West Michigan caused plenty of damage with downed trees and widespread power outages. Sycamore and Hopkins Elementary school summer classes had to be canceled. One estimate of rain was about 1.22 inches and it was reported the winds reached 70 mph. There were more than 8,000 power outages reported in Allegan County. Even more spooky was the configurations that appeared the sky that prompted some sky watchers to capture their images.
