The Wayland High School Symphony Strings and Emerging Strings orchestras attended the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District 10 Festival last week and dearned high performance ratings. Symphony Strings performed at Holland’s Harbor Lights Middle School and received a Division 1 rating. The Emerging Strings Orchestra performed at Grandville High School and received a Division 2 rating. Both orchestras are conducted by Karen Nofsinger and student intern teacher Nick Voyt.
