Thirsty Buddy bar to welcome new owners

Thirsty Buddy has successfully leased the restaurant space next door to Curly Cone in Yankee Springs Township to a new establishment that soon will be joining the community.

The proprietors said in a Facebook post, “We encourage you to stay tuned for the official announcement, as we believe you will appreciate this new addition.

“As we prepare for a smooth transition before the upcoming busy season, we would like to inform you that our last day of operation was this past Sunday. We are pleased to announce that nearly all of our dedicated staff members will be integrated into the Curley Cone family.”

The Curly Cone Restaurant at 12850 Chief Noonday Road, Gun Lake, expand at its location to include the addition of the Thirsty Buddy bar, which has been operating as a separate entity in drinks and food offerings. Curly Cone opened several years ago with a nod to Kirk’s Kurly Kone at the corner of Chief Noonday Road (M-179) and Patterson Avenue.

The owners added on Facebook. “Words cannot fully convey our deep appreciation for our talented team and the respect we have for them. We are incredibly grateful for the support our community has provided to Thirsty Buddy through drinks, dining, and private events.”
