Thirteen Tech Center students involved in traffic crash

Allegan County Fire District Chief Nick Brink blamed a five-vehicle traffic crash on M-222 Tuesday morning on age and speed, but acknowledged seat belts save lives.

The incident involved 13 students traveling to the Allegan County Area Technical and Education Center east of Allegan. The crashes occurred on M-222 west of 24th Avenue.

Brink told the Allegan County News & Gazette, “For the magnitude of this accident, all are lucky to be alive.”

It was reported that four students were taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, including cuts, bruises, and back and neck pain.
